Archer to chair at London Quantum.Tech conference

Archer to chair at London Quantum.Tech conference
Following the Company’s successful outcomes from attendance to the Conference in Boston, USA in Sept 2019, the significant commercial progress achieved in the development of the 12CQ room-temperature qubit processor chip (“chip”), and as part of the Company’s strategy to advance its quantum technology vertical, Archer CEO, Dr Mohammad Choucair, and Quantum Technology Manager, Dr Martin Fuechsle will be attending the Conference.
The Conference is a high-level international event with a strong focus on the commercial applications of quantum technology, beyond the fundamental science, and aims to facilitate the development of the broader supply chain in the commercial applications of quantum computing technology.
Archer will also give a presentation introducing Archer and the 12CQ project, and update delegates on the Company’s quantum computing progress, strengthen strategic business relationships, identify upcoming opportunities and conduct face-to-face meetings with a number of company key decision makers in the quantum economy. Dr Choucair and Dr Fuechsle have begun scheduling meetings with companies during the week of the Conference.
Outstanding achievements have recently been accomplished, as Archer has advanced the commercial readiness of the chip. The Company has access to world-class facilities to build prototype chips (ASX Announcement 3 Apr 2019); successfully begun assembling chip prototypes (ASX Announcement 26 Jun 2019); and recently demonstrated the possibility of qubit scalability in fabrication by precisely positioning the critical chip qubit component (ASX Announcement 26 Aug 2019) creating few-qubit arrays (ASX Announcement 13 Nov 2019).
Archer CEO, Dr Mohammad Choucair, said: “The opportunity to Chair a session on quantum computing at the Conference is testament to the progress the Company has made. The focus of our 12CQ activities leading up to the Conference centers around quantum measurements of the chip [qubit] components – the ‘quantum’ in quantum computing. April 2020 will be 12 months since Archer commenced the 12CQ project, and we look forward to updating organisations in the quantum computing ecosystem on our exciting progress.”
Qubit Processor Background
A qubit processor (“Processor”) is the most crucial hardware component of a quantum computer. Processors come in a variety of forms depending on the qubit type and materials used. Many quantum computers currently use Processors that can only operate at low temperatures and/or are difficult to integrate in modern electronics, limiting ownership and use.
The successful development of the 12CQ room-temperature qubit processor chip could potentially overcome both the limitations of low operating temperatures and electronic device integration for qubits and would represent a breakthrough solution to the widespread use and ownership of quantum computing powered technology.
